Deal or No Deal

Deal or No Deal is a 5-reel slot found at some Playtech casinos, or at least one, so far I have only seen it at the SIA Casino. This new online slot, based on the hit TV game show, features 20 paylines, wild symbols, three levels of progressive jackpots, and three different bonus features – one with free spins.

Three or four scatter symbols can trigger the Reel Banker Feature, which awards continuous free spins. All wins during free spins are doubled, and the feature ends when the banker symbol land on the middle reel. No bonus games can be triggered during free spins.

If the Banker’s Best Offer Feature is triggered when 3 or 4 scatters land, you are offered up to 10 offers from the Banker. These offers are unique and are not repeated if they are declined. You can accept or decline any offer, each one is valued from 1 to 20 times your total bet. If you decline all the offers, you will be given the 10th offer.

Three, four, or five scatter symbols landing on the reels during a spin can trigger the Reel Banker Bonus. This is the classic Deal or No Deal game, played just like it is on TV, and this is where you can win one of the progressive jackpots if you are playing all of the 20 paylines. The level of jackpot is determined by the size of your bet. Based on the fact that both of the other bonus features are only triggered by 3 or 4 scatters, I’m assuming this feature is automatically triggered when 5 scatters land.

Just like the game on TV, you choose one of the 26 cases as your ‘lucky case’ to keep and then follow the instructions to open the rest of the cases. The banker will call frequently with offers and you are obviously asked “Deal or No Deal?”. If you accept the offer, you win the prize amount, if you decline you continue on. If you decline all offers and there is only one case left to open, you will be given the choice of swapping cases or taking the amount in your lucky case. The progressive jackpot is the top prize, but the odds of winning it are not 1 in 26.
